03 — AI Services

Three ways to work
with the same team.

Pick the shape that matches where you are. We treat them as one practice — same engineers, same runbooks, same escalation. When your shape changes, the team doesn't.

Most teams start here

Build with you

Our engineers sit inside your team — your standups, your tools, your code reviews. You get two senior AI engineers, fully accountable, part-time to start, scaling up if the prototype lands.

  • Senior IC engineers (5+ years)
  • Two-person team minimum
  • Weekly demo, monthly KPI
  • Knowledge transfer baked in

Fixed scope

Build for you

A defined scope, a fixed price, a ship date. We own delivery; you own the integration. Best for things you've already decided to build — we just need to move fast.

  • Fixed scope & price
  • Written acceptance criteria
  • Monthly milestones
  • Source code transfer at handover

Post-launch

Run with you

We take ownership of the system after launch. Model swaps, drift, schema drift, capacity, on-call. A real SLA, a real number to call, a real runbook behind it.

  • 99.9% uptime SLA
  • Cap on $/1k tokens
  • Weekly on-call rotation
  • Quarterly model-swap review

Common questions

On engagement shapes.

Which shape is right for us?
If you're not sure yet, Build with you (embed). If you've already committed and just need it built, Build for you. If you have something in production that you're losing sleep over, Run with you.
Can we change shapes mid-engagement?
Yes. Most clients move from Build with you → Run with you. We've also had clients start with Run with you and pull us in earlier when a new initiative starts. The same team, the same SLAs.
What does 'managed' actually cover?
Everything post-MVP: on-call, model swaps, schema drift, capacity, prompt regression, eval suite maintenance, monthly architecture review. You don't have to know it's happening; you do have to see the dashboards.
Do you sign MSAs, DPAs, security questionnaires?
Yes. Standard templates available; custom terms reviewed by counsel. We've signed MSAs with regulated financial and healthcare clients.
